21st Meeting of Bosnian-Herzegovinian Supplementary Schools in Great Britain UNFORGETTABLE MEETING OF OLD AND NEW FRIENDS

1

What to say when everything is over, but the real human and well-deserved “Thank you”. Thank you to all those who are with their selfless work and with whom they are1 200x300 provided, made it possible for this meeting to be one of the best organized and best attended so far. In addition to more than 500 guests from various places, London, Coventry, Birmingham, Hertfordshire, Manchester, Nottingham and of course Derby, students and parents, the meeting was magnified by other dear friends.

First of all, we would like to take this opportunity to thank our valuable volunteer hosts, without whose work nothing would be like this. It is difficult to list the names of the families who prepared spicy home-made dishes and served the guests, but they know who they are, and who put so much work into serving food, welcoming guests and finally cleaning up. Thank you very much and we want to do something to at least minimally retaliate for what you have done. You decide!

We would like to mention the brothers Sanjin and Senan, experts in design and sound systems, our Ivan who helped the staff a lot, Ramiz without whom we could not have transported everything to Derby Moor Academy on time, Ahmed from Saudi Arabia who helped a lot with loading and carrying, Dino Hrnčić, Nedžad Osmanagić and many other volunteers of our Association.

Furthermore, we would like to thank the members of the Board of Directors, led by President Nermina Webster (Lejla said the most photogenic person), those Board members who took their free time and joined in the preparation of food and in the distribution of food and in the cleaning. And of course those who organized the sports activities, which went very smoothly.

We would like to thank the schools: Birmingham, Coventry, London Victoria, Herthfordshire, Manchester and of course Derby, the students and teachers who entertained us with an excellent program, and we wish them to keep up the good and positive work.

And of course our dear guests: Assistant Minister, Ministry of Human Rights and Emigration Mr. Kemo Sarač with his associates, staff of the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in London with Ambassador-Charge-de-Affaires Igor Bašić, BH UK Network with Zaim PašićIMG 5261 300x225 President and Anes Cerić, Manager, on whose behalf we organized all this, representative of Fire Services Derby and Derby Refugee Forum. Luckily it all ended in one day, and if we had continued, those from BH UK Network had so many medals and decorations that they could have decorated everyone present in two days. I’m kidding, only good friends and associates understand each other’s jokes.

They have all contributed to the fact that such meetings are gaining more importance and that they are becoming a tradition and a kind of manifestation of youth and friendship at least once a year in Great Britain, as well as a need for generations to come.

Once again, we thank everyone, and we apologize to all those who were not mentioned individually, but their deeds done on that day, June 30, 2019, are remembered, and will be remembered for a long time by all our guests.
