
The welcome speech was given by the president of the BiH association in Hertfordshire, Saldumović Sabahudin , after which the national anthems of BiH and Great Britain were sung. Of course, where could the program be without the performances and efforts of our youngest? Student Paratušić Daniel , with the recitation of Zapis o zemlji, began a very interesting program prepared by students of the BiH supplementary school in Hertfordshire. Paratušić Andrijana briefly explained to those present what this Statehood Day is and the importance of its celebration. Poetry was recited by Halimić Siba , and Fejzić Dina also addressed the audience on the topic of Reflection on Mental Health.
The event was graced by the presence and address of Ambassador Vanja Filipović , who also got to know the work of the organization, the supplementary school in the Bosnian language. Among other things, he thanked the work and effort of the volunteers and teachers and the support of the wider community in maintaining the identity, culture and tradition of the people and buildings of Bosnia and Herzegovina in this part of the United Kingdom. It was a special pleasure to meet and talk with representatives of the local authorities of Hertfordshire, who greatly appreciate and support the work of the organization and the school, and to meet with the representative in the EU Parliament, Dr. Barbara Gibson .
The mayor of Elstree and Borehamwood municipalities, Simon Rubner , addressed those present, who thanked them for the invitation and expressed satisfaction with such an event. The audience enjoyed the melody of the sevda line Zvijezda tyra mjeka , and the video Why I Love Bosnian School , which they prepared diligently.
The event was attended by many distinguished guests, such as Dr Barbara Gibson MEP, Member of Parliament, Cynthia Barker , Deputy Mayor for Hertsmere and Ann Owen , Daycare Center Manager.
