Dear Sir/Madam,
We would like to inform you that the fourth public call for grants has been opened as part of the USAID project “Diaspora Invest”. This is a grant program that supports small and medium-sized enterprises, no older than three years, that are partly or fully owned by investors from the Bosnian diaspora, or that have a demonstrable permanent business relationship established through members of the BiH diaspora.
On March 13, 2019, a presentation of the USAID project “Diaspora Invest” was held in Trebinje, as part of which a public call for grants to investors from the diaspora was presented. The event was attended by 35 entrepreneurs and representatives of the local community. The USAID project “Diaspora Invest” reports that interest in investments in this part of Bosnia and Herzegovina is growing, and that this event shows that the community recognizes the potential of the diaspora. The organizers note that there is more than half a month left until the application deadline ( April 1, 2019) and that adequate public information is the key to accurately mapping potential beneficiaries of this type of support.
We would like to inform you that the fourth call for applications for the USAID Diaspora Invest grant project has been announced, which will be open until April 1, 2019. Applications must be completed online at the website http://diasporainvest.ba/home , and all interested parties are invited to contact them in order to receive timely and accurate information about the selection procedures and rules. Finally, these info sessions are evidence of the need for continued cooperation and support for diaspora investment projects.
The USAID Diaspora Invest project invites all interested parties to attend the info sessions, and to pay attention to the basic requirements regarding the company’s connection to the diaspora, the age of the registered company, and the legal status – companies must be registered as a limited liability company or a joint stock company. It is also worth noting that companies that are still in the registration phase will also be eligible for pre-selection.

The USAID ” Diaspora Invest ” project has already supported 34 companies through the grant program, and together with technical assistance, the number of these companies exceeds 50.
