As in previous years, the Bosnian-Herzegovinian Association in Birmingham, in collaboration with the Bosnia UK Network, organized the traditional distribution of New Year’s gifts to children from Birmingham and Wolverhampton. In a festive mood with a specially decorated Bosnian House and with Santa Claus, over 60 New Year’s gifts were distributed.
With the words of the song “Veju, veju pahulje, mraz po staklu shara” the Bosnian House was slowly filling up with parents and children who were eagerly awaiting gifts from the lovely Santa Claus, who once again wore his most beautiful red suit and long white beard by which children around the world recognize him.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Domenico Moro, who was an extraordinary Santa Claus again this year and distributed New Year’s gifts to the children.
His wonderful wife, Alma Aganović, contributed to the cheerful atmosphere of the children’s gathering this year, painting different cute characters on the children’s faces and thus surprising and making the little ones happy.
The premises of the Bosnian House were filled with New Year’s songs, laughter and children’s joy. Children had the opportunity to enjoy disco music and the inevitable raffle.
This year’s magical atmosphere was ensured by Meliha Hadžović, who managed to rekindle the imagination of the youngest by setting up the Marry Poppins scenography. The little ones enjoyed playing together and socializing.
This year, the parents decided to treat the children with pizzas for all their hard work during the school year.
We would like to thank all the volunteers for their hard work and time spent making this event a magical and unforgettable one. The children’s joy and play were endless.
