OUR PURPOSE

Building a Brighter Future Together

Our Mission

The Bosnia & Herzegovina UK Network empowers communities affected by war and displacement through support, education, youth empowerment and opportunity, while strengthening the long-term capacity of the voluntary sector

Our Vision

Communities shaped by lived experience of war and displacement, empowered to lead, support others and build a more inclusive and connected future, where individuals and communities can thrive.

Our Values

We are guided by compassion, inclusion and solidarity, valuing the strength of communities shaped by lived experience. We empower people through trust, partnership and opportunity to build a better future together.

WHO WE ARE

The Bosnia & Herzegovina UK Network was established in 1996 to provide practical and psychological support to Bosnian and other ethnic minority communities. Today, we support a wide range of newly arrived communities with lived experience of war and displacement.

We are a 100% user-led organisation, with our work shaped and delivered by people with lived experience, ensuring our services are relevant, responsive and rooted in the needs of the communities we serve.

WHAT WE DO

We support people affected by war and displacement to rebuild their lives with dignity, confidence and opportunity. Working with Bosnian genocide survivors and newly arrived communities, including those from Syria, Ukraine and Afghanistan, we ensure no one is left isolated and everyone has the chance to belong and thrive.

Through tailored support and community-led programmes, we help people connect, develop skills and access opportunities for a better future.
