Cameron confirms UK will vote for resolution on Srebrenica genocide

Foreign Secretary David Cameron issued a public statement regarding the proposed Srebrenica Resolution.
At a public hearing held in the House of Lords, Committee on International Relations and Defence, Foreign Secretary David Cameron presented the Government’s position on the Srebrenica Resolution.
David Cameron: “It is extremely depressing… that Serbia and Republika Srpska are launching a campaign against the annulment of the resolution. … there was genocide in Srebrenica… I think you all remember Srebrenica and it was a genocide, one of the worst we have seen on a continent in the last few decades. The UK will vote for the resolution, we will publicly advocate for the adoption of the resolution and call out those who oppose it.”
As we previously reported, Bosnia UK Network last week appealed to the UK Government asking them to support the proposed Resolution on Srebrenica.
The letters were sent to the following addresses:
Rishi Sunak-Prime Minister of Great Britain,
David Cameron/Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs,
Alicia Kearns, President of the All-Parliamentary Group for BiH and
Fleur Anderson, Chair of the All Parliamentary Groups for the Prevention of Genocide, calls on the UK Government to support the proposed Resolution on Srebrenica.
