Bosnia UK Network and the Ukrainian Community in Birmingham were truly touched by this wonderful message we received from the delegation from Zaporizhia following their recent visit to Bosnian House.

“Our delegation has returned to Zaporizhia and we would like to personally thank you for the warm and cordial reception during our visit to Birmingham and the Bosnian House.
Meeting you and learning about the experiences of the Bosnian community in Birmingham, the challenges you faced and the strength and resilience you showed, was deeply moving and inspiring for us. As communities that have experienced war and forced displacement, we share a special understanding and a strong sense of solidarity.
The work Bosnian House is doing to preserve culture, support integration and community building is truly inspiring, and we see a lot of room for our communities to learn from each other and support each other.
We would like to stay in touch and explore opportunities for cooperation, exchange of experiences and building bridges between the Bosnian community in Birmingham and the citizens of Zaporizhia.
