Meeting of the Main Board of the World Diaspora Federation of BiH: The date of the 11th Congress has been confirmed

As part of the BiH Diaspora Futsal World Championship, The opportunity was used to hold a meeting of the Main Board of the SSD BIH. The meeting was attended by representatives of the BiH diaspora from the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Turkey. and Great Britain, and representatives Ministry for Human Rights and Refugees of BiH Dževad Mahmutović (Deputy Minister) and Kemo Sarač (Assistant Minister) and the Ambassador of BiH to Turkey, HE Adis Alagić.

The earlier decision to hold the 11th SSD BIH Congress in Sarajevo was confirmed. July 2. in 2022. At the congress, the work of the Association in the previous period will be summarized and guidelines for future activities will be determined. Also, the day before the Congress, a ceremonial academy will be held on the occasion of 20 years of existence and successful work of the World Alliance of the Diaspora of Bosnia and Herzegovina (SSD BIH).

This opportunity was also used by delegates from Great Britain who, on behalf of the BH UK Network, the umbrella organization of BiH associations in Great Britain, presented a letter of appreciation to the World Federation of the BiH Diaspora. The BH UK Network was the headquarters of the Federation for many years. We can safely say that one of the main initiators for the formation of SSD BIH was precisely BH UK Network, which has been participating in various activities of SSD BIH since its foundation. This certificate of appreciation is proof of the excellent cooperation between the Network and the Alliance. The certificate of appreciation was presented by Almin Kazić, Zaim Pašić and Anes Cerić, and on behalf of SSD BIH, Hasan Šehović, President of SSD BIH, received the certificate of appreciation.

As an umbrella organization, the World Federation of Diaspora of Bosnia and Herzegovina (SSDBIH) aims to connect and coordinate the work of associations, clubs and numerous non-governmental organizations (NGOs) around the world.

The preparatory meeting was held in June 2001 at the premises of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Club Brent in London. The meeting was attended by representatives of associations from: Australia, Austria, Great Britain, Denmark, the Netherlands, the Republic of Ireland, Switzerland, the USA and Sweden.

The World Federation of the Diaspora of Bosnia and Herzegovina (SSDBIH) was founded at the First Congress of the Diaspora of Bosnia and Herzegovina held in Sarajevo, 25. and 26 May 2002 in the presence of: state bodies of BiH, representatives of cities, businesses, non-governmental organizations of Bosnia and Herzegovina and over 200 delegates of Bosnian and Herzegovinian associations from: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, France, the Netherlands, Croatia, Italy, Yugoslavia, Canada, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Norway, Germany, the Republic of Ireland, Sweden, Switzerland, the USA, Slovenia, Great Britain and Turkey.
