To mark the 24th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide, a friendly match was held at Fox Hollies Leisure Centre between the Bosnian community in Birmingham and friends and members of other ethnic communities. The players took the opportunity to remember the 8,372 lives lost during the atrocity that took place in Srebrenica. They held a minute of silence immediately before the match to raise awareness of this horrific crime and to send a message of peace and a warning that Srebrenica should never happen again.
Thank you to everyone who came on this occasion and sent a universal message of peace and friendship through sport.
