It’s the time of the New Year holidays, which are the most exciting for children, partly because of the gifts that are inevitable during this period, and partly because of the well-deserved break from school.
This year, in accordance with tradition, the Bosnian-Herzegovinian Association in Birmingham, in cooperation with the BH UK Network, organized the traditional distribution of New Year’s gifts to children from Birmingham and Wolverhampton. The New Year’s gifts for the children were provided by the BiH Association Birmingham. In a festive mood with a specially decorated Bosnian House and with Santa Claus, 50 New Year’s gifts were distributed.
With the words of the song “Veju, veju pahulje, mraz po staklu shara” the Bosnian House was slowly filling up with parents and children who were eagerly awaiting gifts from the lovely Santa Claus, who once again wore his most beautiful red suit and long white beard by which children around the world recognize him.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Jasmin Solaković, who was an extraordinary Santa Claus this year and distributed New Year’s gifts to the children.
The premises of the Bosnian House were filled with New Year’s songs, laughter and children’s joy. Children had the opportunity to enjoy disco music, joint games and socializing.
Thank you to our parents, Šemsa Zlomužica and Džehva Bešić, who prepared this year’s New Year’s gifts.
We would like to thank all the volunteers for their hard work and time spent making this event a magical and unforgettable one. The children’s joy and play were endless.
