Early elections for the mayor of the City of Prijedor will be held on December 12

The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina today made a decision to call and hold early elections for the mayor of the City of Prijedor.

 

The elections will be held on Sunday, 12/12/2021. year.

The City of Prijedor is obliged to provide KM 65,000 in accordance with Article 1.2a paragraph (2) and Article 1.2b of the Election Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina within 15 (fifteen) days from the date of the decision to call the election, i.e. no later than November 2, 2021. year and pay the same to the Single Account of the Treasury of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

 

Applications for certification of political parties and independent candidates for participation in early elections shall be submitted to the Central Election Commission of BiH by 22.10.2021. (Friday) until 16:00 . The deadline for registration of new voters voting by mail expires on 07.11.2021 at midnight. The election campaign begins 15 days before election day , i.e. from 27.11.2021. The deadline for receipt of voting materials for voters by mail is 10 days from the day of the election , i.e. ending with 22.12.2021., with a country postmark/bar code with a date no later than the date of the election.

Other deadlines are also prescribed by the Instructions on the sequence of electoral activities for holding early elections for the Mayor of the City of Prijedor, which will be available to the public on the website of the Central Election Commission of BiH, www.izbori.ba .

In accordance with Article 81 of the Rules of Procedure for the Conduct of Elections, political parties and independent candidates who were certified in the last regular elections for the Mayor of Prijedor are not obliged to collect signatures of support or pay a fee for participation in the early elections. Political parties that were not certified to participate in the last regular elections for the Mayor of Prijedor, but were certified for the City Assembly, are not obliged to collect signatures of support, but are obliged to pay a fee for participation in the early elections.
