Dear representatives of BH UK NETWORK and dear volunteers of Remembering Srebrenica,
I want to thank you for attending an unforgettable evening of two large and especially “popular” charities:
“Remembering Srebrenica” led by the highly respected president of this organization, Dr. Waqar Azmi OBE, and BH UK Network . The Bosnian House was too small last night for the number of visitors who enriched this great meeting of two fraternal institutions.
It is difficult to enumerate and mention all the organizations and persons who showed and presented their achievements and position in British society with their presence this evening at the BH UK Network .
Thanks also to the distinguished diplomatic representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Great Britain, H.E. Vanja Filipović, VA Nedžad Sadiković, whose presence showed that we were “Bosnia in a small space”. Thanks also to the Mayor of Birmingham Mohammed Azim. In his speech, he said that he had not seen a smaller country, but greater people in Great Britain, such as the citizens of BiH and their superstructure and cultural power in Great Britain.
KUD “Mladost Bosne” Birmingham, with its dazzling performance, charm and cheerful decorative games, justified the great words of praise from all present.
Thank you to all other representatives of the city of Birmingham, all organizations, representatives of the police, the British Army, health representatives, NGOs for their presence in supporting and enhancing this truly beautiful event. I would especially like to thank the BiH citizens and members of the BiH associations of Birmingham and Coventry, whose valuable culinary skills fed more than 100 visitors at the Bosnian House.
Finally, congratulations once again to the staff and volunteers of Remembering Srebrenica for their many years of activities to ensure that the genocide in Srebrenica is not forgotten.
