After today’s meeting with the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament, Denis Zvizdić , Member of the Bundestag, Adis Ahmetović, addressed the media in Sarajevo.
“First of all, I want to thank you for your hospitality. I am glad to be here, in front of the German parliament. I am here in the capacity of rapporteur for the Western Balkans.
Before I came here, I was in Serbia. I was convinced of what I saw here and what we agreed on today. “Parliament is the biggest constitutional body that must be respected,” Ahmetović said.
He referred to what he says is the only true path for Bosnia and Herzegovina .
” The only true path for BiH is the path towards the EU. We must work together and strive to strengthen the Parliament and its functioning ,” added the young politician.
Later, he referred to two more important goals for our country.
” The second common goal is accession to NATO. This is very important because it is the basis for cooperation between BiH and the EU in this difficult time in which there is a lot of insecurity in both Ukraine and BiH . We must work to achieve this goal.
And the third important point is the elections in October, which will be held .
Holding elections is proof that Bosnia and Herzegovina is a stable, peaceful and democratic country.
On this path, BiH can count on the support of the EU, Germany and the High Representative.
“We must not lose sight of the situations that we need to improve: social insecurity, creating a better situation for young people so that they do not leave, etc.,” Ahmetović concluded.
