Saturday… Pupils and parents at the Sidney Stringer academy school in Coventry gathered and brought the children to BH supplementary classes. But this time it’s not an ordinary Saturday. This Saturday was a big day for BH Community Association and BH supplementary school Coventry. A wonderful gathering, warm conversations and, of course, traditional Bosnian dishes.
Students, parents and other activists of the BiH Association Coventry gathered to warmly welcome their guests, HE Ambassador Vanja Filipović and Biljana Lučić , First Secretary of the BiH Embassy.
It is interesting to mention that in the 25 years of activity of the BiH association Coventry and the work of the BiH supplementary school, this is the first time that the school and the association have been visited by competent state authorities.

A warm welcome was given by Almin Kazić, president of the BiH Association Coventry, who, together with Senadin Selimić, a teacher at the BiH Supplementary School Coventry, managed to talk to the Ambassador about the current situation in the association and the school. Mr. Kazić took the opportunity to personally present a letter of appreciation to Ambassador Filipović.
Ambassador Filipović also addressed the attendees with words of gratitude for their hospitality. “We met another amazing group of children, volunteers/teachers, community organizers. Thank you for the wonderful work you do in your community, for supporting each other, nurturing our language and tradition, and for the kind and wonderful welcome.”, said Ambassador Filipović. Those present also had the opportunity to ask the Ambassador a few questions regarding the interest of the relevant state authorities in the work and activities of BiH associations and BiH supplementary schools in the United Kingdom.

BH Association Coventry takes this opportunity to thank the teachers, as well as all the volunteers who helped in any way with the organization of today’s event.
