It’s the time of the New Year holidays, which are the most exciting for children, partly because of the gifts that are inevitable during this period, and partly because of the well-deserved break from school.
This year, as always, the Bosnian-Herzegovinian Association in Birmingham, in collaboration with the BH UK Network, organized the traditional distribution of New Year’s gifts for the youngest members of our community. In a festive mood, with the Eveson Hall in the Bosnian House decorated in a special way and with Santa Claus present, 50 New Year’s gifts were distributed.
With the words of the song “Veju, veju pahulje, mraz po staklu shara” the Eveson hall was slowly filling up with parents and children who were eagerly waiting for gifts from the lovely Santa Claus, who this time also wore his most beautiful red suit and long white beard, by which children around the world recognize him.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Mehmed Solaković, who was an extraordinary Santa Claus this year and distributed New Year’s gifts to the children.
The premises of the Bosnian House were filled with New Year’s songs, laughter and children’s joy. Children had the opportunity to enjoy disco music, joint games and socializing.
Thank you to parents Admir and Melita Hanić, Ermina Džamastanagić, Amra Dautović, Dževdana Gološ, Alma Aganović, Lejla Gološ and Nejra Gazibegović who prepared the New Year’s gifts.
We would like to thank all the volunteers for their hard work and time spent making this event a magical and unforgettable one. The children’s joy and play were endless.
