Filipović was also one of the founders and vice president of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA), and during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina he was vice president of the Muslim Bosniak Organization of Adil Zulfikarpasić and ambassador of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina in London.
He has published 14 books, some of which have been translated into other languages. The book “Lenin – monograph of his thought” experienced the largest number of translations, which was translated into Danish, Swedish, French, Bulgarian, Slovak, Italian and Chinese.
Muhamed Filipović was born in Banja Luka. Filipović completed primary and secondary school in his hometown. He studied philosophy at the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade and Zagreb. He graduated in 1952 and received his doctorate in 1960.
