Eight young people killed near Posušje in Bosnia and Herzegovina

In an unprecedented tragedy in Posušje, eight young people between the ages of 18 and 19 were killed, confirmed the Commissioner of the Ministry of Interior of the West Herzegovina Canton, Milan Galić.

Posušje was rocked by a great tragedy due to the death of eight young people as a result of gas suffocation, and the first league club from this Herzegovina city also spoke out about this event.

The deceased Stjepan Jukić (19) is a former goalkeeper of Posušje who defended for this club in the youth league BiH South in the cadet and junior categories.

As a reminder, eight lifeless bodies of young people who were celebrating New Year’s Eve were found in a weekend house near Posušje. The cause of death is presumed to be suffocation, but the official cause will be known after the investigation and autopsy of the bodies. The eight deceased were found by people from a neighboring weekend house who were also celebrating New Year’s Eve.
