Namely, students of the Bosnian Supplementary School Maida Mulalić and Amil Alihodžić, together with their mentors/teachers Arnela Pašić and Senadin Selimić, took part in the Prismatic Jane Eyre translation / creative writing competition, organized by the University of Oxford.
The task of the participants was to write a poem in one of the world’s languages, in our case Bosnian, based on a selected passage from the novel Jane Eyre, and then translate the poem into English.
The wonderful news is that the poem “Alone in the Red Room” by our Amil Alihodžić will be included and published in the final anthology, which will be available in print and online versions.
It is truly a great honor to be part of this project, and an even greater pleasure that the Bosnian language will be found side by side with other world languages, all thanks to our little ambassadors.
