Help for Petar Luković

One of the most famous journalists in the area of ex-SFRJ, Petar Luković – who wrote in Belgrade’s “Vremen”, “Naša Borba”, Split’s “Feral”, Sarajevo’s “Dani” and “Oslobođenje”, Ljubljana’s “Mladina”, Zagreb’s “Polet”, had the famous “Singles” column in “Džuboks”, former editor-in-chief of the portal www.e-novine.com and in recent years the editor-in-chief of www.xxzmagazin.com – for more than a year he is fighting a serious illness – from lung cancer. In the meantime, he had laser surgery to remove the cancer in his head.

Left at the mercy of his 250-euro pension, Luković finds himself in a difficult financial situation. He told us that for decades, “writing was more important to him than a future pension,” not suspecting that illness would await him in a situation where he was struggling to survive on two fronts, health and money.

If you are able to help Petar Luković (who is, among other things, one of the few Serbians who can boast of the “Honorary Citizen of Sarajevo” award in 2010), you can do so via PayPal and Luković’s email: petar.lukovic @xxzmagazin.com
