“This is a picture of my father Muharem Bajrić, who was killed in Velagići on June 1, 1992, during the war. He was only 25 years old when he was brutally murdered.
This is the only picture and memory I have of my father and I keep it as the greatest value because I was only two years old when he was killed.
As a child, I always kept this picture, carried it with me and kissed it constantly.
I was about three years old when I came to England with my mother.
“Every year when I go to my homeland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, I make sure to visit my father’s grave and have a good cry,” said Dijana.
