I appeal to you to work together to motivate our fellow citizens in the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland and beyond to participate in the local elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina scheduled for November 15, 2020 .

In order to exercise your right to vote and vote in the upcoming Local Elections, you are required to submit an application to the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina no later than September 1, 2020, by 24:00 .

Until now, the Central Election Commission of BiH has been delivering the PRP-2 application form to the address you provided during your last registration for voting. The PRP-2 application form is available on the website of the Central Election Commission of BiH www.izbori.ba , and is attached to this message. All voters who voted in the previous General Elections in 2018, fill out the PRP-2 application form and submit it to the Central Election Commission of BiH, attaching a copy of one of the valid identification documents with a photo.

All voters who did not vote in the last General Elections in 2018 or are registering for the first time, fill out and sign the PRP-1 form and submit it to the Central Election Commission of BiH, along with the relevant attachments. The aforementioned form can be downloaded from the website www.izbori.ba , and is attached to this message.

If you are temporarily residing outside of BiH, in order to register to vote outside of BiH, you need to have a valid BiH identification document (you submit a copy of one of three valid documents – ID card, driver’s license or BiH passport).

If you have the status of a refugee and do not have valid BiH documents (identity card or driver’s license), the documents you need to submit with the application form are:

1. Document proving BiH citizenship (certificate of BiH citizenship, not older than 6 months or a copy of a valid BiH passport)

2. Document proving identity with a photograph (copy of valid documents issued by the host country or copy of refugee card issued by the host country government or other international organization)

3. Proof of residence in Bosnia and Herzegovina (a copy of the certificate of residence or a copy of the identity card in its entirety from 1991)

You can submit the completed form, signed in the same way as on a valid identification document, and the attached scanned documents as follows:

Therefore, I urge you to register to participate in the elections , and to forward this information to all Bosnians and Herzegovinans, as well as to the diaspora associations with which you cooperate .

Local elections are of utmost importance for local communities, especially in places with returnee populations, and for the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In shaping the destiny of our country, all its citizens should participate, with their votes, regardless of their current place of residence. Don’t let your voice go unheard!
