Speedy recovery to our dear Fahira

The bright smile of our dear Fahira Hasedžić was not noticed by many. Unfortunately, we started the new year with not so good news about Fahira’s health. Due to a serious illness, Fahira is no longer able to come to the Bosanska House and lead the folklore group. The priority is for her to start appropriate treatment as soon as possible in order to get well as soon as possible.

Delegates from BH UK Network visited dear Fahira and wished her a speedy recovery. In return, Fahira gave us her folk costume and expressed her satisfaction for the support that many people from the BH UK Network gave her, especially the support of the members of KUD Mladost Bosna, who miss her a lot.

Fahira Hasedžić is our hardworking and lovely folklore instructor, a proud Banja Luka resident who has been teaching every week for over 25 years. traveled from Nottingham to Birmingham, with the aim of preserving, nurturing, improving and promoting our folk heritage.

Since the founding of KUD “Mladost Bosne” Birmingham and “Bosanski Biseri” Derby, they have been led by choreographer Fahira, expertly and thoughtfully. Unfortunately, over time, only the group from Birmingham, KUD Mladost Bosne, remained active. By the way, before arriving in Great Britain, our Fahira was actively involved in folklore at the KUD “Budućnost” in Banja Luka.

For more than two decades, Fahira has been the guardian of Bosnian and Herzegovinian culture and the tradition of Bosnian folklore in England, striving to ensure that under her watchful eye the folklore group represents the Bosnian community at various festivals and parties, especially on national holidays. For years, she has been actively involved in humanitarian work, and Ms. Hasedžić has personally carried and delivered donations in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
