It is a monodrama based on the recently published autobiography “The Boy Who Said Nothing”. Solaković’s autobiography became a best-selling book in a relatively short time.

It is an inspiring story of a boy who had to go through not only a tour of surviving the horrors of war but also a tour of adapting to the trials of a new environment. With this monodrama, Solaković wanted to revive his pre-war and wartime experiences for the British audience, but also to show how man is capable of recognizing and defeating evil, which is an obvious threat to truth, justice and freedom, the pillars of humane society. Mirsad was a boy who didn’t say anything, but he became a man who said and wrote that evil should not be forgotten and repeated, and that we should try to live in understanding, solidarity and harmony. 73523463 10157086401513264 1099316915433635840 N 300x225

Many today know Mirsad as a dear young Bosnian and as a valuable volunteer of the Bosnian community in Great Britain. On this occasion, Mirsad said, “I choose love, not hate . It is important to tell the story and learn a lesson from it. I have a big heart for all people.” Solaković decided to donate the earnings from the sold tickets to charity. With his honest words and acting talent, he managed to touch the audience emotionally. The monodrama did not offend or leave anyone indifferent, but provoked thought and deep emotions. With ovations and enthusiasm from the audience, Mirsad Solaković greeted the audience from the stage and thanked them for their wonderful support.

Cass Pennant, Meliha Hadžović and Amra Mujkanović also had the opportunity to address the audience. Cass Pennant is the co-author of the book and it was thanks to his efforts that the word was written3 300x225 Solakovic managed to find her way to the London publishing house “ John Blake”. Meliha Hadžović introduced herself to the audience as Mirsada’s older sister, hosted last night’s program and, as always, as sisters usually do, supported her brother and did everything to make the evening go smoothly. Amra Mujkanović took advantage of the extraordinary opportunity to introduce the audience to the work of the charity organization Remembering Srebrenica and Solakovic’s activities in this organization.

On behalf of the host, Bosnia UK Network , Kornelija Besara addressed the audience with words of support and presented Solaković with an award for his outstanding contribution to the work of the Network and the Bosnian community in Great Britain in general. The audience then listened to the beautiful sevdalinka Emina , performed by Azra Bašić , who has been working in Bosnian supplementary education in the UK for over two decades. The evening ended with a song and dinner prepared by the Solaković family.

Thank you to everyone who magnified and supported this humanitarian event with their presence.
