BSSM- Bosnian School and Society Manchester
The new school year 2020/2021 at the Bosnian School in Manchester began on 19.09.2020. (Saturday). Classes are held online, in the regular schedule from 10 am to 12 pm. There are currently 16 children enrolled, taught by teachers Aldin Zilić and Dr. Belma Muhamedagić. Regardless of all the difficulties of online classes, with the good preparation of teachers and their efforts to make new material interesting for children, children are motivated to do all the assigned tasks and look forward to every Saturday to see their friends and learn something new.

As an association, in addition to our regular obligations, we also participate in many humanitarian actions. In one of the last actions, the hardworking members of our association managed to organize a collection of aid and the purchase of food, water, fruit and other supplies for the Ronald McDonald House Manchester, which serves to accommodate parents whose children are being treated at the Manchester Royal Infirmary.
An action is underway to collect aid in the form of clothing, shoes and other necessities for migrants currently in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

As part of the “Living Healthy” and “Remembering Srebrenica” projects, and inspired by the idea of Steve Baker, a member of the “Remembering Srebrenica North-West” association, who decided to run 1007 miles in England every day, which is the distance from London to Sarajevo, we activated our association members and children from the Bosnian school and started organizing regular walks every Saturday after school in the Bosnian school, as a remembrance of all the victims of the genocide. Remembering all those who died and were killed in the genocide should not only be during the month of July, but throughout the year.
