Member of the Presidency of BiH Denis Bećirović spoke with representatives of the BH UK Network (Community of Bosnian and Herzegovina Associations in Great Britain) Anes Cerić, Zdenko Besar and Remzudin Alihodžić
Representatives of the organization presented a letter of appreciation to the member of the Presidency of BiH, Denis Bećirović, for supporting the work and activities of the BH UK Network.
During the meeting, Bećirović pointed out the importance of strengthening ties between the diaspora and the homeland of Bosnia and Herzegovina and emphasized that a well-organized diaspora is of exceptional importance for our country.
Representatives of the BH UK Network emphasized that they organized a working visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina to inform the competent institutions about the activities with the aim of working more intensively together in the coming period for the benefit of Bosnia and Herzegovina and all its citizens and peoples in the homeland and in the diaspora. Speaking about their own activities, they highlighted the fact that in the last two years they organized the celebration of the Independence Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Parliament of Great Britain, with the presence of a large number of parliamentarians and lords, and that preparations for next year are underway. The establishment of the Diaspora Council within the Cabinet of BiH Presidency Member Denis Bećirović was also discussed, and representatives of the BH UK Network expressed their willingness to contribute to its work and activities.
Member of the Presidency of BiH Denis Bećirović said that, within his own capabilities and competences, he will support organizations that represent the interests of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina abroad.
For 27 years, BH UK Network has been continuously providing assistance to the Bosnian and Herzegovinian community in the United Kingdom and connecting them with their homeland through numerous educational, informative, business, cultural and sports activities.
