Banja Luka native Midho Kapetanović was expelled from his hometown during the aggression against our homeland and found his new home in Derby, UK.
Through decades of activism, he made a huge contribution to the development of the Bosnian Centre Derby Bosnia UK Network as well as the entire Bosnian community in the UK. With his presence and calm demeanor, he spread the positive energy that was necessary to overcome the many obstacles our community faced. To younger activists, he was like a second father.
Midhat Kapetanović died at the age of 88 in Derby. He was buried at the city cemetery in the city of the same name on February 2.
May dear Allah grant him Paradise and eternal mercy.
