Bosnia and Herzegovina has had its “safe country” status revoked due to the increase in the number of people infected with the new coronavirus, which will affect travel during the pandemic.
The European Council stated that the list of countries exempt from travel restrictions has been updated.
With the new updated list, Moldova also lost its “safe country” status, while European Union members added Chile, Kuwait, and Rwanda to the list.
With the latest update, the countries on the list are Australia, Canada, Chile, Jordan, Kuwait, New Zealand, Qatar, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Ukraine and Uruguay.
The EU list is advisory to member states and is not binding. The list is updated every two weeks.
Although tourist travel to the EU from the countries on the list is permitted, some measures such as testing and quarantine may be applied to travelers.
