Today, Jennifer Stone-Wigg, MBE , a great friend of Bosnia and Herzegovina, pleased us with her visit. A guest was welcomed in the premises of the Bosnian House in Birmingham. Jennifer is a wonderful person, a humanitarian with a big heart, who spent more than 25 years of her life helping BiH citizens in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Jennifer Stone-Wigg was awarded the MBE ( Member of the British Empire ) in 2008 for her many years of humanitarian work in Bosnia and Herzegovina and has been a patron of the BH UK Network since 2007. Over the years of her humanitarian work, she has received a significant number of awards and commendations for all her contributions. Bosnian society.
Jennifer Stone-Wigg (77) was born and educated in Droitwich, England. She then moved to Switzerland, where she began a career in banking. After retiring from banking, she began working in an art gallery, where she had the opportunity to meet Bosnian actors from the War Theatre. This led to the beginning of her charity work in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1995. In 2001, she decided to establish her own organisation, “ Future for Families ”, which would play a major role in the lives of many Bosnians and Herzegovinans.
During her stay in the UK, Jenny also visited the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in London and gained very good impressions. She was particularly pleased that H.E. Ambassador Vanja Filipović would visit and personally thank the organizations in the UK that have helped and supported the work of her organization over the years. It is worth mentioning the Church in Kenton, London, which has supported 25-30 children from the Puračić School near Tuzla in recent years.
On this occasion, we publicly and sincerely want to thank you for the selfless time and love that you provide to the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina through your activities. Also, thank you to your friends and organizations who have responded to humanitarian actions and to those who are yet to respond.
