Manchester City Council and Bosnia & Herzegovina Supplementary School in Manchester and the Madrasah (MSSM) Network at the end of each school year
This year the event was held on June 15th at Manchester University and was attended by 12 of the best schools from different countries operating in the Manchester area. The best teacher and student who achieved the best results during that school year are awarded by the Mayor of Manchester. In this way, they motivate children and teachers to achieve the best results.

The Bosnian supplementary school in Manchester is unfortunately not as large in terms of the number of children as in other places, but this does not prevent them from being active and taking part in various events and being recognized at the national and international level. So on April 28, children from our school participated in the celebration of the anniversary of the Turkish supplementary school. They also took part in organizing the event “Remembering Srebrenica” held on May 18. and in cooperation with other Bosnians and Herzegovinians living in Manchester. Every year in different cities in Great Britain, various activities are organized to commemorate the genocide that occurred in Srebrenica.
The program was put together by teachers and students, so that everyone took part in the program. The program was hosted by Enis and the short film Remembering Srebrenica was shown. Dr Farah, who visited Srebrenica, also took part in the program. She told the attendees about her experience and impressions of the visit. At the MRI Manchester Royal Infrmary hospital where she works
At the end of the program, a certificate of appreciation was presented to Imam aby Umar from Remembering Srebrenica North West for helping and hosting the Iftar, and our organization had the honor and opportunity to attend the Queen’s Garden Party at Buckingham Palace on May 15th.
Also, the Dewsbury Mosque organized an Iftar for all religions on May 23rd, where we Bosnians and Herzegovinians also participated in the “Multifaith Iftar”.
