On November 25, 2019, it was exactly 76 years since the session of the ZAVNOBIH councilors. On this occasion, a modest cultural and entertainment program was organized by the students of the Derby Supplementary School of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Derby Center in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The students, together with their teachers, made an effort to glorify this significant day for us with their recitations. November 25 is celebrated as the Statehood Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Namely, on that historically very significant November 25, 1943, the first session of ZAVNOBIH (National Anti-Fascist Council of the National Liberation of Bosnia and Herzegovina) was held in Mrkonjić Grad. At the aforementioned session, a decision was made to restore the statehood of BiH, its historical borders, which dated back to the time of medieval Bosnia, were confirmed, and Bosnia and Herzegovina was defined as one of the six equal Republics in the then Yugoslavia. On that date, Bosnia and Herzegovina therefore restored its statehood, which it had lost in 1463, when Bosnia fell under the rule of the Ottoman Empire.
ON BEHALF OF THE BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA DERBY ASSOCIATION, I WISH TO CONGRATULATE ALL THE BOSNIANS AND HERZEGOVINA ON THE STATE DAY OF OUR ONLY HOMELAND BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA!
